Brave Hearts' Camp 2007
Healing through Encouragement, Acceptance, Respect, Togetherness, Sanctity
Brave Hearts' Camp offers the children a reprieve ~ a chance to be normal. By surrounding themselves with other burn survivors, they are free from judgment, gawking and harassment. During the week-long camp, counselors, professional firefighters, medical personnel, adult burn survivors and foundation volunteers work with the children on self-esteem issues through a number of different activities. Every child is challenged to build the confidence necessary to be able to live outside of their self-created walls of isolation that protect them from pain and rejection, yet inhibits them from living life to its fullest.
Please take a minute to view the Brave Hearts' Photo Album. Smiles and activities are abundant! If you have a child or know a child who might like to attend Brave Hearts' Camp, even if he/she doesn't live in Indiana, please complete the application and return it to the foundation. Children between the ages of five and 18 are eligible to attend this free camp.
