Severe burn injuries can impact the entire family, most especially during a burn survivor's long rehabilitation period. With a primary mission to serve burn survivors and their loved-ones, the People's Burn Foundation will work with you to preserve the integrity of your family for the burn survivor's homecoming.

In the case of a severe burn injury, many times there is financial hardship due to loss of income. Loss of income impacts the entire family and generally creates unnecessary stress for the family. Beyond monetary issues, there are often problems for children who endure long periods of separation from their loved-ones. The emotional impact of the injury can also take a toll on the loved-ones who are bedside with the survivor.

Through a detailed Needs Assessment, Foundation representatives will work with you to prevent or lessen the many complications that arise during the recovery process, and develop a plan that extends beyond the burn survivor's homecoming.

When the burn survivor is discharged from the hospital, PBF representatives will work diligently to help the family and the burn survivor through the transition process from hospital to home.
